Carculator - The Car Loan Calculator
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the CARCULATOR® different than a regular calculator?
The kind of loan used for car payments is called "amortized" which means that you are paying back a portion of the loan's principal and interest in each payment. Over time, the percentage of your payment that is applied to the principal increases while the portion for the interest decreases.

Although possible, it is very tedious to calculate a loan payment using a regular calculator that can only add, subtract, multiply and divide.

You can use your CARCULATOR® to do the math in 3 easy steps. Watch a Demonstration (Quicktime 307k).

If I can use my computer or a website to calculate payments, why do I need the CARCULATOR®?
The most important benefit of the CARCULATOR® is that you can easily take it with you. Once you are ready to negotiate, the dealer will always present a monthly payment to you. Dishonest car dealers will sometimes inflate the loan amount without telling you and try to make you focus only on your montly payment. With your CARCULATOR®, you can reverse-compute the dealer's payment to verify the total loan amount and ensure that you are not paying too much.

Also, you can walk around a car lot and calculate estimated payments on any vehicle that you like, without needing to wait for a quote from the dealer.

What other functions can the CARCULATOR® perform?
Your CARCULATOR® has the regular math functions add, subtract, multiply, divide and can compute percentages.

Can the CARCULATOR® also compute mortgage payments?
Yes, your CARCULATOR® can compute any amortized loan, which is how most traditional mortgages are established. However, buying a home is a complex process and the materials included with the car-buying kit explain only how to work with car loans and leases.

Is the CARCULATOR® sold in stores?
No. The only way to get one is to order here on the website, or contact us

Can I buy just the CARCULATOR® without paying for the whole kit?
Not at this time.
